In General

Where can I change my login password?

In order to change your login password go to smart-me.com and log into your existing account. Click on your username on the top lef corner and choose "Settings". Click on "Change password" for the "Web user".

How can I group devices?

In order to group devices (e.g. to switch on/off several devices at once) go to smart-me.com and log in with your username. In the menu, click on "Configuration" and then on "Meter Configuration". Now you can start to create folders and subfolders. To add a device into a folder, use drag and drop to move the device into the folder.

Which wifi standards are supported?

smart-me devices support 802.11 b/g/n with 2.4 GHz. 5 GHz are not supported.

What Ports have to be open

smart-me devices only needs the Port 80 UDT & TCP. (This Port is also needed to surf on the internet)

Are the energy and power measurement accurate?

We definitely offer very accurate energy and power measurement devices in the market. We guarantee a maximum fault of 1% over the whole measuring range (0.1 - 3680 W). In order to guarantee the highest accuracy, each device is calibrated during production.

Are the settings and the meter readings saved in case of an electricity cut?

Yes, the devices save all settings and data in case of an electricity cut. If the electricity returns, the devices will reconnect with the WiFi and everything should be like before the electricity cut.

Can I use my devices with different WiFi networks?

Yes, smart-me devices save up to 6 different WiFi networks. You have to install each network on your device and afterwards your device will always connect to the network with the best connection.

Can I reset the meter reading back to zero?

No, at the moment we do not support this function.

Was ist der Messwert Leistungsfaktor?

Der Leistungsfaktor ist das Verhältnis vom Betrag der Wirkleistung zur Scheinleistung. Dieser Wert ist zwischen 0 und 1.

  • Wenn nur Bildenergie verbraucht wird (bei induktiven Lasten wie z.B. Motoren oder Transformer) ist der Leistungsfaktor 0.
  • Wenn nur Wirkenergie verbraucht wird (bei Ohmnischen Lasten wie z.B. Glühlampen oder Heizungen) ist der Leistungsfaktor 1.

Where do I find the MAC Adress of my smart-me Device?

To find the MAC Adress of your device, you have to connect to it first and then go to it's «Webseite»

  • Press the button of the device for 10s
    • The LED of the device will flash alternately orange and green
  • Connect to the WLAN of smart-me device, using a Laptop/tablet
    • the Name of the WLAN Network will be smartme_xxxxxx (the xxxxxx is the serial number of your smart-me device)
  • Open the Browser of your Laptop/Tablet and go to the site 192.168.1.1

Wie verbinde ich ein smart-me Partner Produkt mit der smart-me cloud

Meine Daten werden nicht übertragen. Was kann man tun um diesen Fehler zu beheben

  • Der Port 21 muss offen sein. -> Falls eine Firewall verwendet wird, stellen Sie sicher, dass der Port 21 nicht gesperrt ist.
  • Es kann vorkommen, dass es Probleme gibt die Serveradresse (smart-me.com) aufzuschlüsseln. Falls dies der Fall sein sollte ersetzen Sie diesen Eintrag mit der IP Adresse (Bei "FTP Configuration" - "Server" - smart-me.com durch 212.59.169.118 ersetzen)

Security

Is the connection to the Cloud save?

Yes, beside the encryption of the WiFi Connection, every connection from and to a smart-me device has an additional encryption. For highest security every device has it's own encryption key.

Where is the WiFi Password stored??

The WiFi Password is only stored on the smart-me device. It's never send to any server.
